Most students find that the content is not the biggest change. The pace is. A first-year course often covers in one week what a high school course covered in two or three, and much of the practice happens on your own time rather than in class. Lectures give you the ideas once; the textbook, problem sets and tutorials are where you learn them.
Three habits help more than anything else. Test yourself instead of rereading (flashcards and practice problems both count). Space your studying out over the week instead of one long session before a test. And go to office hours early in the term, before you are stuck, so your instructor and teaching assistants already know you.
Every university sets its own rules for credits, grading scales, deadlines and prerequisites, so read your program's academic calendar and each course outline. This site is independent and is not affiliated with any university or application centre.
