One topic, three levels
Differentiated worksheets
Every worksheet here comes in three versions with the same number of questions on the same topics: Support (easier), Core (at grade level) and Challenge (harder). Each version has its own answer key.
How teachers use three levels in one class
SupportEasier questions on the same topics, for students who need more practice with the basics.
CoreQuestions at the expected level for the grade.
ChallengeHarder questions on the same topics, for students who are ready to stretch.
- Teach the topic to the whole class, then hand out the version that fits each student. Everyone works on the same idea, so you can go over the answers together.
- Question 1 on every version covers the same topic, which makes it easy to pair students across levels.
- Let students move up a level when they finish with most answers right. Moving between levels is normal, not a label.
- Print the three versions in one PDF with a cover page, or the three answer keys together for marking.
