About Lund University

Lund University was founded in 1666 and is a public university in the small city of Lund, near Malmö and a short train ride from Copenhagen. It also teaches at Campus Helsingborg and in Malmö. Student life is organized around the "nations", student associations with roots in the seventeenth century that run housing, events and clubs. Lund is a full-range university, with engineering (LTH), economics and management, medicine, law, social sciences, humanities and natural sciences.

English-taught bachelor programs

Lund states that it offers ten bachelor programs taught in English for autumn 2027. Most other bachelor programs are in Swedish. Use the Lund "find education" search with the English filter to see which programs these are and what each requires; requirements differ, especially for programs with mathematics or science prerequisites.

How to apply

Swedish universities use one national application service, University Admissions in Sweden. You submit one application with ranked choices, upload documents and, if you are not an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen, pay the application fee. For autumn 2027 degree studies, Lund gives the deadline as 15 January 2027. Leave time for documents: the system has its own deadline for uploading supporting documents shortly after the application deadline.

2. Create an account on universityadmissions.se and rank your choices.
3. Upload your high school transcripts, diploma or predicted results, proof of English and a copy of your passport.
4. Pay the application fee if required, and keep the payment confirmation.

Entry requirements

Every bachelor program requires general entry requirements, which include completed upper secondary education and English at the Swedish "English 6" level, plus any specific subject requirements for the program. University Admissions publishes country-specific instructions on which documents are needed from Canadian and US schools. English proof is often met by schooling in English, but check the country-specific rules for your situation.

Tuition and scholarships

Citizens of countries outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland pay tuition fees for bachelor and master programs in Sweden. Lund publishes the fee for each program on the program page. Lund University scholarships, such as the Global Scholarship, are for students who pay tuition; check the scholarship deadlines, which come with the application round. You also need a Swedish residence permit for studies, so apply in the first round to leave enough time.

Preparation
