Fractions of a set
Split into equal groups using the denominator, then take the numerator groups.
(a/b) × N = a × (N ÷ b)
136 ÷ 8 × 4 = 68
Subtract mixed numbers
Convert to improper fractions; then subtract with a common denominator.
w a/b = (wb + a)/b
(29 − 22)/4 = 7/4
