Ask, observe and compare · Revision sheet
Build a fair comparison from a clear question.
Learn the idea
Question
A testable question specifies something that can be observed or measured.
Compare
Change one intended factor while keeping other relevant conditions similar.
Repeat
Repeated trials reveal variation rather than guaranteeing an expected answer.
Report
Record what happened, including unexpected results.
Explain without looking
- Why should someone else be able to understand the measurement method?
- Does one trial prove a rule works in every condition?
